Oftentimes in life we feel alone. We think we are the only ones going through what we are going through. We think no one has ever been through that before; and no one understands how it feels to be me. I want to tell you today that women all over the world are similar. They grow up, they have children or not, they get married or not, they go to work or not, they feel alone or not. The truth is that we are more similar than we realise. We all have opportunities to laugh or cry and when we share our stories with each other we begin to realise that our similarities are greater than our differences. When you cut just below the skin surface you find the same colour blood. It is when we come together and begin to unmask and reveal more of our true selves that we discover how similar we really are. The Sunshine Collective seeks to provide just that. A place where we can come together as women and share life’s journeys with one another.
As I share my story you realise you are not alone, and that there is someone else that has gone through a similar experience that you can identify with. And as I share my victories it gives you hope and courage to know even more that you too can overcome. It’s not a pity party get together, but a victory in Christ meeting. That in Him we can do all things. And as you let your light shine, it gives others permission to shine too. So come and join the Sunshine Collective and let your light shine…. Collectively.
